JERICHO CREEK FARMS PRESENT...

OUR DREAMS OF QUALITY TRANSLATED INTO

SPLENDID REALITY

We are proud to introduce you to the breeding stock of Jericho Creek Farms.  We have been breeding Morabs since 1985.  In our quest for a bright and successful future, we find ourselves looking back to the past and the quality of the old bloodlines.

Our Arabian bloodlines include some of the finest Egyptian and Russian Arabians.  We also have a high percentage of Crabbet lines, with strong lines back to Raffles and Skowronek.

Our Morgan lines include some of the strongest ties to the original Morgan, Justin Morgan, through Lippitt bloodlines.  To add color, we have added the best of the working western Morgan lines, tracing back to the original buckskin Morgans.

Along with our Gold Seal Morab foundation stock, we are privileged to be able to offer quality Blue Seal Morab lines that trace back to the first Morab breeding programs in the country, and some of the finest performance horses in the early Morab Registries (“Clovis” and NAMHA).  These horses have proven themselves with high honors in both the show ring and breeding shed for the past 30 years.

Our promise to you…Every Jericho Creek Horse is special and has been handled from birth.  We take pride in our professionalism and the quality of our stock.  If you want one of the finest Morabs available today, buy one of ours and join the many happy owners of Morabs with the prefix “Jericho’s or JCW” in front of their names.  Our breeding policy looks first at conformation, along with temperament: color is just an extra bonus we can offer.

Breeding Morabs for twenty years has totally convinced us that Morabs live up to everything that has been said about them and more!  They really are MARVELOUS, MAGNIFICENT AND MAGICAL.  Call us and we will help you find that very special Morab to buy or breed, or just to come and visit our farms.

JERICHO CREEK FARMS I & II are located in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin, about 40 miles southwest of Milwaukee.  Linda and Norm Konichek still operate the original farm, and usually have about twenty of the mares and younger stock in residence. Wendy Konichek operates her Training Center, specializing in training and showing stallions, and stands about ten stallions each year, her own and those of clients in the Morab, Morgan, Arabian and other breeds.

OUR STALLIONS

In Memoriam

MORO HILL MAGNUM
(Moro Hill's Jeremy x Lippitt Royal Margarita)

We were fortunate in having this magnificent, 100% Lippitt Morgan stallion as the foundation of our Morab breeding program.  His great beauty and presence, were only enhanced by his courage and strength.  This Justin-Morgan-Look-Alike was highly pre-potent and passed some of the best of the early Morgan bloodlines to our stallions and mares.  He was the sire of two of our foundation Morab stallions, JERICHO ’S MR. CHAUVINIST and JERICHO’S MAGNUM FORCE and his bloodlines remain strong two and three generations later.

Jericho's Mr. Sterling - Morab Stallion
Jericho's Mr. Sterling

JERICHO’S MR. STERLING
(Jericho’s Mr. Chauvinist x Ta-ket)

This powerful Grey Morab is the only Morab stallion produced by  our Multi-Champion, 16+ hand, Morab stallion, JERICHO’S MR CHAUVINIST, and his dam is our talented, athletic Blue Seal foundation Morab mare, Ta-ket, “Taco.” Mr Sterling, “Nacho,” displays the  strength and athleticism of all well-bred sporthorses.  His muscular body ripples with power and grace, which he passes on to his foals

Sir RAF Royale - Morab Stallion
Sir RAF Royale

SIR RAF ROYALE
( Mt. Toby ’s Princess x Raf Sydin)

In 1989, we were so fortunate to begin breeding this magnificent, perfect gold, Blue Seal Palomino stallion, produced by Mt. Toby Stables in Leverett, Massachusetts, as one of our foundation sires.  He has produced many palominos, and his color continues through his sons and daughters.  He and all of his get possess the most perfect Morab trot and way of going, and they have won many Blue Ribbons in halter and performance.  Royale has been twice named Morab Horse of the Year, and has appeared on the cover of HORSE ILLUSTRATED, as well as the STALLIONS CALENDAR for Equestrian Enterprises.  He is still performing and winning at age twenty.

Jericho's Royal Stormhawk - Morab Stallion
Jericho's Royal Stormhawk

JERICHO ’S ROYAL STORMHAWK

(Wachuset Blackhawk, 100% Lippitt Morgan x Jericho ’s Royal Ashlin, Palomino Morab)

This Blue Seal, Morab Grandson of Sir Raf Royale, displays breathtaking Buckskin beauty, and magnificent movement and strength.  His foals receive his beautiful head and luxuriant mane and tail, with an incredible way of moving; also, a colorful or black foal is a strong possibility.

Montego's Thunder - Morab Stallion

Montego's Thunder

MONTEGO’S THUNDER
(Dream Weaver Montego X CCS Comma)

Gold Seal Premium Morab stallion, was brought to Wisconsin in 2003, after winning his Half-Arabian Sporthorse classes at the prestigious Scottsdale Arabian Show.  He has continued his winning ways in Wisconsin, and qualified for USDF Regionals.  Thunder’s foals are almost carbon copies of him, and all display his unbelievable way of moving. When  he is at liberty, he is almost a living symphony and ballet combined.  His impulsion and grace are enhanced by his Morab strength and power.  At 15.3 hands, he is truly the ultimate Morab, Half-Arabian Sporthorse.

He is co-owned with Ken and Susan Kromrie, Greenleaf Ranch.

There are still 6 partnership shares available in this stallion, for $1000 each. The share includes one breeding per year for the life of the stallion and a share of the outside stud fees.

JCW Rev's Cajun Sundancer - Morgan Stallion
JCW Rev's Cajun Sundancer

JCW REV'S CAJUN SUNDANCER
(LJ Morning Reveille x Clonmel Cajun Caress)
Palomino Morgan Stallion

He has the wonderful working bloodlines from his nationally recognized buckskin sire. His dam has old classic bloodlines including Cajun Pepper, Merry Corwin and Oldtyme Chancellor.

He has many wins in class A and Open shows. He is an excellent dressage prospect and is also registered with the American Warmblood Society.

He has sired many colorful foals. He is the sire of the 2004 IMBA Futurity Yearling Champion. We are anxiously waiting for his foals to grow up and make their debut in the show ring under saddle.
